Incorrect Time for Live Events

    EventON Lite

    LIVE EVENTS do not show as live at the start using [add_eventon_now]
    They do go live in calendar with other shortcodes

    Shortcode NOW not showing anything
    Shortcode LIST does show the live

    This has to do with the TimeZone I guess, because they do go live 2 hours later, and my timezone is +2:00 GMT

    Adding an event also shows the bug, when the default start is shown with a 2 hour offset (in the past)

    Hello,

    When you set Start/End Times, do you refer to Universal time or Local Time: https://i.imgur.com/HwCxzrVl.png

    Please note that you need to make sure that event’s time is set relating to Local Time. So (from the screenshot above) it should be less than 14:57 to make sure that it’s still progressing.

    Could you check and let me know?

    I set up EVERYTHING in my local time, and then it does NOT work with [add_eventon_now]

    so there is 2 bugs:
    1) when adding an event it shows the UTC time in the orange bar where you set the time
    2) events in [add_eventon_now] use UTC time and not Local time

    Now I change it to the correct time, and the event is NOT live with [add_eventon_now]

    Only now, 2 HOURS LATER the Event is live

    Conclusion: [add_eventon_now] is wrongly using UTC to show live events and not Local time

    Thank you very much for catching the issue with happening now not honoring the timezone. First point you mention is not really an issue. We just dont have any program to auto adjust event default time based on changed timezone.

    As for the live now issue, please allow us sometime to get this figure out and we will get an update soon!

    Sorry for the delay. Kindly update to the latest version 2.4.9 — this will resolve the issue with live event time.
