Increase Comment Spam campaigns

We are noticing more comment spam from the same IP, impersonating existing commenters, sometimes successfully other times not guessing their email correctly and the wrong gravatar displays.

Please see this post for more info. It’s not clear what role wpdiscuz may play in this but I figured I would check in here to see if others are encountering this, and if the developers have any thoughts.
