Indespensible – first rate security plug-in

Having researched the subject quite extensively to ensure my site was well-secured, I eventually chose Wordfence as my core security plug-in.

And, now, over a year on, I can say that it’s proved itself to be an indispensable, first-rate user-friendly plug-in – and a real security powerhouse.

I use it alongside ‘All In One WP Security & Firewall’, which I find provides a good additional security checklist.

Whilst there’s a lot to WordPress security, this plug-in is very user-friendly and makes rigorously and systematically securing your site much simpler. The Wordfence site scan gives you peace of mind by checking your site against WordPress core, theme, and plug-in files. What’s more, its ‘options’ menu allows you to systematically secure your site and will ensure it’s continuously monitored and that you’re kept up-to-date and alerted, by email, of security issues. The WF firewall has been invaluable too.
