• I had my site hacked where they screwed my index.php file. I was told to re-load the MYSQL database and re-load it and that should re-create the index.php file….it does not. When you try to bring the site up I get garbage on the screen…please see link

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Question,

I have the site up with the new WordPress screen (Welcoming), I now want to ftp over all me old files and directories. Is there some trick to this or can I simply ftp over the old files and dir from my site?

Yeah, the only files that could be replaced with pre-existing files are the contents of /wp-content/

Everything else is a core file and doesn’t need to be replaced (or you risk downgrading the site, which could be dangerous).
