Hello Sheelagh!
I believe you’ve set both the “site’s tagline” and the “brand name” as the “Site Title” at WordPress’ General Settings.
Some background information:
Because of that setting, TSF will append the large boilerplate “Site Title” to every page. When you choose to omit it, TSF will issue a blue info-message recommending you to add it back. We added this message because Google is prone to append the blog name automatically (and mess up your titles).
In your case, I recommend adjusting the Site Title only to contain the brand name (“Communicate Influence”). This will affect all titles, including search pages and date archives.
Please be mindful that it might mess with your homepage title configuration. For that, I recommend adding the tagline (“Communications, Marketing Podcast”) to the “Meta Title Additions” on the SEO Settings page (under the Homepage Settings meta box). Setting it there will work best in conjunction with Schema.org markup outputted by TSF, where the “Meta Title” will be used prominently.
To summarize:
- Adjust the “Site Title” at WordPress’s “General Settings”, so it only contains “Communicate Influence”.
- Navigate to SEO Settings > Homepage Settings > Additions, and set “Communications, Marketing Podcast” as the additions. Confirm that the Meta Title (under the General tab) is as intended.
I hope this helps! Feel free to follow up if you require more guidance.
P.S. “COVID” is an abbreviation that should be capitalized 🙂
