Infinite Scroll: Only 7 posts per category?
-
So, like most WP users, my blog posts are divided up into several categories. I’ve enabled infinite scroll, and while I like it, there’s an annoying “bug” I don’t like:
If you click on a category (say, “Music”), you only get 7 posts from that category before infinite scroll adds my main feed to the scroll. In my case, it adds the 9th post back from what I’ve currently published. So, when scrolling, users see:
MUSIC
MUSIC
MUSIC
MUSIC
MUSIC
MUSIC
MUSIC
9th POST ON MY HOME PAGE
10th POST ON MY HOME PAGE
11th POST ON MY HOME PAGEIs there any way to have infinite scroll “stick” to categories, so users will see only posts in those categories?
I love infinite scroll as a concept, but it’s kind of “hiding” older posts from users. And I’ve already moved all the footer widgets to the side to get scroll to work, so I don’t want to go back to the “old way” if I can help it.
(Also, apologies if this has been asked already. I searched for this a couple of weeks ago and intended to ask then, but got busy with clients and was only able to ask today.)
