Ingesting WordPress posts from an RSS feed.

    I am working on a site that features an RSS feed from podcasts.com. The feed owner wants each podcast to be a post on the WordPress site so that people can comment.

    All of the information I can google about RSS in WordPress revolves around generating an RSS feed from the WordPress site. I don’t want to do that. I want the RSS feed to create regular posts on my wordpress site.

    Any ideas on how to do that?

    I found this (https://themeisle.com/blog/import-rss-feeds-into-wordpress-as-posts/) but they want $150 for it. Surely there is a way to do it with standard wordpress.

    There’s others that can work. A quick search found this one – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/feedzy-rss-feeds/ – but I know that I’ve used others that I can’t remember at the moment for old projects ages ago.

    Yeah. Feedzy is the one I found too. Their free RSS plugin will list the feed’s content on a WordPress site, but if you want to ingest the entries as separate posts, that costs $150 a year.

    From their website:

    “While the free version of our Feedzy plugin is helpful for displaying basic RSS feeds via shortcodes and widgets, you’ll need the “Business version of Feedzy” to actually import RSS feeds into WordPress as posts.
    The Business version costs $149 and allows you to do everything you need. “

    I do exactly what you are looking for using Easy Podcast Pro (https://easypodcastpro.com/) You need the Pro version that has a “Feed Import Tool” that will import podcast episodes into WordPress posts. The price isn’t bad. $39.99 yearly or $59.95 for a lifetime license. I opted for the lifetime. Good luck.
