• Hi, thanks for the great plugin.

On repeat loads of pages (from the same device), it works well, and the pages load in about 2 seconds.

But every initial page load takes 15 seconds longer, which is caused by the BWPminifying of the files (as seen on the timeline of GTMetrix).

I have combined 20 files per BWPM file.

Is this a bug? I run a private server with 8gb RAM. Is there a way to have this initial minify go faster?

    Thanks!

Ps: changing it to 10 or even 5 files did not make much difference, initial minifying is extremely slow.

On a connected note: I read your recommendations, but could not figure out how to actually create a Cronjob (whether in WP or on teh server) that randomly (pre)loads pages?

    Thanks!

I think there’s a bottleneck in the files you want to minify, just one file can cause a lot of issue.

So, try excluding certain files from minifying to see if it gets faster (set cache age to 0 and flush cache to make sure we’re testing without using cache), perhaps try 5 files at one time.

There are some cron job plugins for WP, but you can setup one one your server, just search for “<OS name> cron job” and there should be a lot of howtos that you can follow.
