We have a standard, out-of-the-box installation of WooCommerce to test if it will be suitable for our purposes. We haven’t yet looked at setting a theme, and we are WordPress newbies. We are missing a search function for the visitors, so we have installed the Advanced Woo Search plugin.

We have re-indexed the table and turned on Seamless Integration, but no search field is showing up on the default shop page. So we read the documentation and decided to try the Shortcode solution. However, the documentation says: “Shortcode for each search form instance you can find at the top of each settings page.”
But this is not displayed anywhere on our settings pages? And the screenshots in the documentaion seems to show another version than what we are using.

So, is the documentation out-dated, or are we missing something basic?

    Thanks in advance,
    /Thomas in Sweden

    Hi,

That point about shortcode inside each settings page is more about the pro plugin version. If you are using a free plugin version – just use aws_search_form shortcode or AWS search form built-in widget.

    Regards
