    I installed the plugin, connected it to my woocommerce store and I’m now on the 3rd step of the setup (Add woocommerce audience settings.”

    I want to sync the store, but I don’t want the plugin to send a mass email to all clients when I do the initial syncing.

    It’s not clear whether the message under “Audience Defaults” will be sent to everyone. Can you clarify, please?

    My 2 questions about the “audience defaults” message are:

    • is the message in the section “audience defaults” going to be sent to all subscribers when I sync my store to MailChimp?
    • aside from the initial sync, in which other cases is this message going to be sent to subscribers?

    Hi @vpedrozo, thanks for reaching out. To answer your questions, see below:

    1. The initial sync between Mailchimp and WooCommerce doesn’t automatically trigger any email to be sent to all subscribers. The purpose of the initial sync is to transfer data, such as customer information, order details, and products, from WooCommerce to Mailchimp.
    2. No other cases will send messages to subscribers within the plugin itself. The sending of messages and Automations are controlled over at mailchimp.com within that feature set.
