Initial WordPress Install

I have installed WordPress but can’t bring up the dashboard without adding index.php, ie

“http://localhost/wp2/wp-admin” does not work but “http://localhost/wp2/wp-admin/index.php” does.

“…/wp2” gives me a file list only.

My site is http://callahantroop351.com/wp2 as I set up WordPress on wp2 so I don’t affect the website until the WordPress site is developed.

Please assist as I’m new to WordPress and am excited to get going on the new site.
