    Using a billion images, don’t forget that you will create another billion webp versions. You may hit the inode limit on your server, be careful. I don’t understand why we can’t just convert all the images that appear on the site directly. I don’t understand why plugins create copies of images instead of permanently remaking them.

    Plugin works perfect, but… Inodes 😅

    Hi @alaron,

    Thank you for your review and feedback! We don’t want the original images to be lost while converting and compressing them, which is why we create additional copies instead of replacing the original ones.
