The premium theme comes with header and footer script outputs, but in the free theme you can use a plugin like this: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/header-and-footer-scripts/

Thanks, Hannah, but I was actually trying to avoid an extra plugin. Would placing the Google Analytics code in the header.php work? (I use a child theme) It’s just that I don’t see any <head> or <body> tags in this file…
The plugin is actually going to be your best option. It’s a very light plugin and you shouldn’t be concerned about adding it to your site.

Thanks, Kevin, I understand. However, the plugin Hannah recommends hasn’t been updated in over a year, so I have some concerns. I also looked at Insert Headers and Footers plugin but that one hasn’t been updated in over 8 months either. Thank you for your time.
That is a valid concern! However, I believe the lack of updates is due to the simplicity of the plugin and it simply doesn’t need to be updated. The function it ads is quite simple.
I wouldn’t be concerned about running it on my site.
