You can select ” Redirect to URL” from Image click action in the gallery options:
https://nimb.ws/7hPdVD
The URL should be added to the corresponding part of the gallery: https://nimb.ws/jPQMo3
It can be any publicly available link or gallery, post/page you have published on your site.
You can add images to your galleries with FTP but there is no option to link pictures from other FTP.

We have created an FTP in this way, as many images will be uploaded to the Site.

You can add all your images to the gallery directly with FTP.
Why do you want to create a separate link? Where do you want to insert it in the gallery?
