First, make sure it was entered correctly in your post. If you use the Visual editor, you can put in the tag by hitting Alt-Shift-T. If you use the Text editor, make sure there are no spaces in the tag: <!--more--> is correct, <!-- more --> is not. Also, the tag does not work when you’re viewing a single post.
I did try it but it does not. work, is this because the blog is not on the home page. I don’t get it.

Can you link to a blog post where you’ve tried to the use the <!--more--> tag and it didn’t work? Also, the tag won’t work on a static page.

When I wright a message it will not appear on the blog page, I do not know why
OK know it is on the blog page, but now I cant see the picture first, I want to see the photo first and than to click read more to see the text
