• Some plugins make use of TinyMCE within a Customizer component. I know nothing about how that works yet. The idea here is that rather than just using the Customizer API for maintaining Appearance for Themes, it can be used as a control bar for designing other document types, like HTML for an email.

The Shortcodes Ultimate button “Insert Shortcode” appears by default in all TinyMCE headers. When it is in the TinyMCE header in one of those Customizer implementations, the popup form doesn’t launch.

This is not just with this plugin, it seems to be with all plugins.

So this is a heads-up that something may be up with TinyMCE usage within the Customizer, and with buttons launched from its header. I’m hoping that since this plugin makes use of TinyMCE that Vladimir will look into this and perhaps provide some insight that can be helpful to anyone else who is doing this.

If I get any info on this, I’ll report back here – whether it’s a bug in core or TinyMCE, or if I find another developer who has found a solution.

    Thanks!
