Instagram embeds not working

Apparently all you have to do to embed an Instagram image into a post is insert the url. However, when I try this, it doesn’t work–either in preview or once post is published. Even after I installed a plugin (I think Simply Instagram?) and authenticated, I still can’t embed a photo in a post.

Anyone else having this issue?

If you’re having trouble with a plugin, you should ask on that plugins forum – i.e.

I recently tried embedding an Instagram into my WordPress blog via the pasting the URL into the document method and was getting the same problem. Preview and Post would show a blank box with missing image.

However once I replaced the URL with the Instagram embed code, it seems to have solved that issue. And here is the [irrelevant link moderated – do not use these forums for promoting your site]

@wpyogi I think I’m good. But when I look at the page on a mobile device there are a few blank lines between the Instagram image and the text. It works fine on a desktop browser but it is just on mobile browsers that there is a display problem.

@wpyogi thanks, yes you maybe right in that my spacing problem could be a theme issue.
