Hello and thank you for your plug-in.
We hope now with your support will get better and better.

After the update in 2.31 we tried to reset the connection in a shop because products we had choose not to sync, were syncing again and again.

But in the connection procedure, the step for an Instagram account appears now to be mandatory and we cannot continue without it. We created an Instagram account but still not passing this step because the account is new and not eligible for Instagram shopping.

Is it a bug or a new Facebook rule to create business accounts in Instagram?

We can’t complete the procedure because of this.

    Thank you.

    Hi @flyingfinn64,

But in the connection procedure, the step for an Instagram account appears now to be mandatory and we cannot continue without it.

That is strange, could you provide us with some screenshots of what you’re seeing which is making the Instagram connection mandatory. You can upload the screenshot to a service like https://snipboard.io/ and then share a link to the image within your next reply.

    Thanks

Thank you again for your fast support.

Attaching the image (no names and accounts).

As you can see i must choose an account.

no continue button, cant select the not eligible account (because its new), so all options are greyed, cant leave it blank, and if i press back then the procedure just need to run again from the previous point to reach this dead end again.

    Hey @flyingfinn64,

Thanks for the screenshot below as it’s really appreciated.

When setting up the Facebook connection on the second step of that process did you deactivate the Instagram Shopping setting which would be this one below?

Deactivating that particular setting during the configuration process did not force me to choose an account for Instagram and I could then complete Facebook the connection process on my test installation.

When testing I used the latest version of Facebook for WooCommerce which is v2.3.1.

Dahhh so sorry. Didn’t see that change in the first step. Sorry for your time.
    Ι connected succesfully now.

Although the problem with syncing products seems to persist.

Products that are choosen not to sync appear on FB business page as posts and products.

But i think that should be a matter for another topic.

    Hey @flyingfinn64,

That’s great to hear I could help with the Instagram Connection issue 🙂

If you create a new topic for the syncing behaviour one of our team will be happy to try and assist with that. I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can reopen it again if you need be.
