Install a new WordPress blog

    Hi

    I have a 2 year old blog with hundreds of posts. The problem is that lately the blog has become considerably slow and opening it can some times take a few minutes.

    I’ve tried various things but none have proven successful. So here is my question, how can I install a the blog from scratch?

    Can’t use the export function because the file is larger than 2MB.

    Can’t use phpMyAdmin because the SQL file is 140MB so can’t import it.

    Any suggestions more than welcome?

    Of course you can, split it up.

    Can’t use phpMyAdmin because the SQL file is 140MB so can’t import it.

    Of course you can, its a text file, split it up.

    Otto provided details in another thread on where and how to split up a file if you are using the export/inport option.

    SQL dumps are even simpler, open the file using a text editor that handles large and look 🙂
