• I did an install yesterday. All was working fine and then after a time I’m unable to login.
I did a fresh install today. It’s doing it again.
    Please help!

  • If you have phpmyadmin, use that to get to the table called ‘wp_options’
Look for the ‘site_url’ value and correct that.
From what I recall about this error, it happens if you use the ‘www’ when you shouldn’t at some point, and I forget which…

There’s no ‘www’ there. I did take out the extra “wp-login.php”s. Do you have any other suggestions?

I took out the remaining “wp-login.php” and it seems fine now. Do you know what would cause that?

I’ll have to dig through the forums.
This wierdness has been reported here before, and like I said, it something to do with the www bit, but I can’t recall the exact terms… when I find, I’ll link it here.

deleting “wp-login.php” didn’t work for long. It was definitely a temporary fix. I also noticed that on the login page the “wordpress”image wasn’t viewable, along with some other images in my blog. All seems to be rectified using Turnip’s workaround.

Turnip’s workaround seems to be a temporary fix. Does anyone have any other suggestions? It’s a pain having to go into the database to correct the url whenenver I want to view the subdomain blog.
