Do you have a URL we could look at? It sounds like you don’t have the server configured to read the php files, however, I’d like to verify it for you.
Dear Tim,
I seem to be having the same issue as the original poster. my url is http://www.staceyjune.com any chance you could take a look for me too?

Hi Tim,
The URL is http://www.oldchinahand.com.hk
The server is running PHP 5.2.17
Thanks for looking into this.
You want to verify a few things. Make sure you’ve uploaded the files to the punlib_html folder and not in a subfolder, if you want WordPress on the main domain. Also, make sure the domain is pointed to your hosting account. I looked around and didnt see an installation of WordPress.

I assume you mean public_html? It’s definitely there.
I accessed the install.php via FTP and I get the following;
<h2>Error: PHP is not running</h2>
<p>WordPress requires that your web server is running PHP. Your server does not have PHP installed, or PHP is turned off.</p>
I checked with my provider and apparently I’m running PHP 5.2.17 which I am assured is a greater version than 5.2.4, is this correct?

Hi, I’ve just managed to install the WordPress in public_html by first removing all files that were in there by default and then re-uploading all the WordPress files. This ends days of frustration. Tim, thanks so much for your help.
Yes, 5.2.17 is greater than 5.2.4
Sorry for the typo, yes I indeed meant the public_html folder. I”m glad you were able to resolve your issues.
