    Hi guys,

I’m trying to use a new template on the latest WP version. When I upload it, there is a message about an internal server error.

Unfortunately my hosting supplier can’t help me, because it is a WP issue.. The WP theme is: http://themeforest.net/item/stockholm-a-genuinely-multiconcept-theme/8819050

It’s a rather large zip file as well. But my hosting space should be sufficient.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Many thanks in advance.

  • Unzip the file on your local computer, which should give you a folder called “stockholm” (or something alike) with all the theme files in it.

Then upload the entire folder and its contents to your server/host, into the /wp-content/themes/ folder.

After that, you should see the theme in your list of installed themes.

Also, ask the hosting supplier why it’s a WP issue, if they can give more details about that. I have my doubts about it.

Your host is fobbing you off. An internal server error is an error generated by the server and will be logged. Neither wordpress or a theme will generate a internal server error.

Neither wordpress or a theme will generate a internal server error.

Actually simple mistake in PHP code in a theme template or plugin will easily trigger an Internal Server Error 500.
