• Hi,
as recommended by you I unzipped the wordpress files and the only thing I get is a list of wordpress-files (wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes); clicking on one of htese just opens up a next list.
Do I really HAVE to be an IT-specialist to load down a programme?
I give it one more try with your help, otherwise I give up.

    Txs,
    Sibylle

@ khamimn07: thanks for your trying to help but you speak a language that I don’t understand – where to find the htdocs folder, how to create a database, etc. You see? Your knowledge level is muuch higher than mine 🙂 Thanks for trying anyhow.

@ esmi: define locally? I want to use it on one private laptop – does this ansser your question?

Yes. You are not using a remote host, so you need to review installing WordPress locally.
