• Hi,

First of all, thank you for this plugin. In theory, I’m convinced that multisite approach to multilanguage sites is the way to go, since we’ve distinct content that can remain even without the plugin.

I’ve downloaded and installed the Git version and the WPML2MLP export plugin.

I’ve a website with WooCommerce and WPML, 2 languages, products, product taxonomies…

I’ve converted this website in a multisite network with 2 sites. The original site remains as site 1 in this network.

    What shall I do next?

    Thanks.

    Álvaro

    Hi Álvaro.

After activation of the multisite, which two sites. Now activate the MLP plugin, network wide. Go to sites and create the relationship between site 1 and site 2 and set his language.
You can use this how to, the pro version have the same functions like the free version, currently on git.

After this is done, than use the WPML importer to switch on your site 1 the WPML posts to default wp posts on different sites.

    Best.

Thank you Frank. I can’t make this work.

When I have MLP activated and WPML2MLP also installed, and I try to associate site 1 with site 2 in network admin, I automatically get the xliff.zip file to download. That’s odd. Also, I couldn’t get the site 2 to work. I get a “too many redirections” notice.

I’ll take a second try with a clean install. But even if it works, that won’t help me with previous WPML+WooCommerce installs…

For WooCommerce have you much more topics.

At first, WooCommerce can’t run in a multisite area. There have no hooks, install for this network. But I (f.bueltgeATinpsydeDOT.com) can send you a beta release of a plugin, that realize this. For this activate Woo in each site of the network, there will you use it. After this use our plugin, that realize a sync between the sites, there have a relationship via MLP. Also we create a shared cart, that is always the same about the relationship.

After this, you have perhaps also open points in Woo about custom fields. Currently you can only write a custom plugin, that add your custom fields to our Woo for MU plugin.
