Installation Help

I want to install WordPress so I can add good themes, plugins, etc. I noticed the installed version has more features than the online one which is more limited. I’m not supposed to setup an FTP for whatever reason/don’t have experience in it and am trying to do this for free so if I need an online host, a link to a free one would be appreciated.

I’ve read some online FAQs but couldn’t find a simple way. Like, download X program, go to X site, enter _______ as domain name. Every time I use one of the FAQs there’s something I run into like I don’t know what to enter on the host site under domain.

If someone could help that would be appreciated since this is for work and not personal purposes.
