Installation issues

    We are trying to install Word Press on our site. we have followed the instructions to the tee. but when we run install.php We receive “ERROR: WordPress 2.1.1 requires MySQL 4.0.0 or higher” and we are installing it on MediaTemples shared server that has MySQL 5.0? Do you have any suggestions?

    Ummm…don’t instal WP 2.1.1. Install WP 2.1.2. For one, anyway.

    I’ve never had a problem installing to Media Temple (just did 16 of them last week). Sorry I can’t help more – but definitely – there was a security issue with 2.1.1, and it’s HIGHLY recommended you don’t use it.

    I would contact media temple on this one.
