Are you installing wordpress on server on your computer or a online host
I have been trying to install WordPress using Softaculous but I get this error message:
The following errors were found : ■The directory you typed already exists! Please type in another directory name
Secondly where can i find wp-congfig.php? I need to update it with the correct databse details. Finally do I update it after installation?

if you have wordpress installed then wp-config.php will be where other wp- files are.
If you do not have wordpress installed then you would have wp-config-sample.php file

Oh. I found it in file manager inside the control panel.

that is exactly what it means there must a directory in your root if there is one with same name you need delete or rename
Thanks again. What really happened was I installed WordPress earlier today but by mistake I deleted the mysql database that was automatically created as a result of the installation. Since then I have been getting this error message. Is the directory found in the ftp?
who is your host and do you know what directory name you used.
