    I have installed and activated jetpack on my local host site (http://localhost:8080/portal/), but it does not work. Actually after installing i cannot see button for “Connect to WordPress.com”, just jet pack has been added to dashboard. i read on the net after installing and activating, a green picture of jet pack icon comes to top of page and we can click “Connect to WordPress.com” , but for me nothing happened and i cannot see button for “Connect to WordPress.com “

  • You cannot connect a site to WordPress.com that is local to your machine as Jetpack cannot access that site (it is not on the internet!).

    Jetpack does have a development mode which you can activate to allow you to use some features that do not require a connection to Jetpack. More info here:

    Thanks, i need 2 plugins or one plugin can use them in local host for

    1- slide show in widgets or post
    2- can make contact form

    Please help what is the best and easier.
