• Hi! I got the plugin installed and activated just fine and see the area to type in the subtitle text on the admin side but don’t see the subtitle on the live website side. Again, I installed and activated fine but was confused by this part…

Edit your page and/or post template and use the <?php the_subtitle(); ?> template tag where you’d like the subtitle to appear.

Do I need to do more?
    Thanks!!

sorry… I did not add the php code.

Same problem…. how can my template read the subtitle? Do I miss something?

    Hi there –
Wondering which version of PHP I should be using for this plugin? Tried to install it on my site, but it crashed it, and my web host tells me it may be a PHP issue?

    Thanks!

The plugin doesn’t currently automatically output the subtitle on your site. You need to make changes to your theme template to output it. See [here](https://github.com/benhuson/wp-subtitle/wiki/Template-Tags) for reference.

@ajkwan do you know what version of PHP your hosting uses? The plugin should work with version 5.2.4+ I think, although I am not actively supporting it as that version of PHP has reached end of life and is no longer supported.
