Installed today, error variable not found

    Hello, I get this error on my frontpage after install and configure the widget:

    Notice: Undefined variable: default in /var/…./home/html/wp-content/plugins/sp-news-and-widget/sp-news-and-widget.php on line 596

    Create a news with Add News Item… Out in it the 3 news I want to post

    I use the shortcode, the news are shown but with the error pasted above.

    Any hint?

    Reinstalling it I get that and these errors when add the widget:

    Notice: Undefined index: date in /var/www/vhost/homepage.com/home/html/wp-content/plugins/sp-news-and-widget/sp-news-and-widget.php on line 224
