    Hi,
I would like to link up Facebook Pixel to my company’s website. I’ve followed the Facebook guide step-by-step, ensured that the plugin is activated. I’m currently operating on WordPress 5.5.1. The plugin version is 2.2.0. The current activity tracker when attempting to send a test request to the website claims it is Active and has a green circle.

The issue occurs when I press “Continue” to move on from the Verify connection stage to Set up events. The error is rather nondescript and I have not found anything when Googling the issue. It reads:

There was an error while connecting your WordPress account. Please try again later.

I’ve ensured the client ID is the same as the WordPress Pixel setup wizard says. I do not use the Conversion API (so the access token field is empty) and I use Advanced Matching.

EDIT: I’ve been trying to verify it over the course of around an hour so far. I will try again at a later hour.

EDIT 2: I currently have an analyst role in the Facebook Ad Manager account. It may be an important criteria.

It seems that the error has been fixed. It was only a matter of the wizard erroring out. A refresh of the Facebook Pixel site shows that the Pixel is appropriately installed.
