    Hi there,

I was working on my website and noticed that i could not enforce https since the site would go down (giving the message too many redirections). I asked my hosting party Siteground what was wrong. They advised me to turn off all plugins on wordpress and see what the result was. Well the enforcement worked, so I started to put all the plugins on agian, one after one.

However, it seems that lifterlms was causing this error. I do want to use the software but how can i run it without getting this problem?

Do you have the FORCE SSL setting enabled in LifterLMS -> Checkout?

If you have other SSL plugins installed or if your host is redirecting your site via a custom method (and your site’s url in the general settings is not set to https://) you could see redirect loops caused by the force ssl setting.

Try turning that setting off and see if it fixes the issue.

Here’s docs on how to manage the setting: https://lifterlms.com/docs/ssl-and-https/#loops

FYI This setting is designed to allow you to have most of your site NOT use SSL but special pages (like the dashboard a checkout) force SSL. So when you’re already forcing an SSL redirect and forcing it again via LifterLMS it ends up causing redirect loops like this.

Let me know if this helps,

    Thank you Thomas,

Is seems that disable the SSL in the checkout cures the problem!

Same issue as joey. Thomas Patrick Levy (@thomasplevy) top man. Thank you very much. I had already configured SSL via my provider. Switched of force SSL and all is good. Thanks.

I guess I need to test to pieces the payment gateway, but I was going to do that anyway :0) Again, thanks Thomas much appreciated. Regards RichFM
