Installing Multisite IN a Subdirectory

    Hi all, this question has probably been asked numerous times already, but is it possible with the latest version of WordPress to install WordPress multisite in a Subdirectory from root?

    I currently have the following:-
    http://www.mydomain.com/directory1 – running the main WordPress powered site (a non multisite installation)
    and would like to add the following:-
    http://www.mydomain.com/directory2 – running a WordPress Multisite Installation.
