installing new theme

    i just created a wordpress site from quickinstall at hostgator.
    i want to change the theme.
    when i go to a theme site, and copy one to my computer,
    how do i get the new theme installed. i only see a download for widgets on my wordpress admin.
    i don’t see a way to install the new theme.

    Navigate to Appearance -> Themes -> Install -> Upload and upload your previously downloaded theme archive file.

    my problem was i didn’t notice the “install” because it wasn’t lit up.
    or, i didn’t think it was an active button because it was faded.
    my problem now is making it look something like what i saw in the demo site. i’m a computer dummy, and this isn’t fun.

    You can find many tutorials on YouTube and all across the internet using Google!

    i do i get rid of that stupid looking little icon on the left that makes me look like a female apple with skinny legs ? :))
