I am looking for some assistance with someone familiar with Multisites. Our website is very outdated and it seems as though the WP SMTP plugin is not working. I am running into an issue with creating new users on this site and the activation link not working. I’m sure the underlying issue is the site being so outdated. Could someone please help with installing and enabling this plugin?

Edit: The issue I am having is when I add a new user, there is no activation email sent. There was one user so far who received a link, but they received an error message “An error occurred adding you to this site. Back to the homepage.” I have tried sending a test email and I am receiving them just fine.
This will show if there are any issues with your DKIM, SPF, or DMARC records.
If there are no issues here and your test emails are working fine, this means the issue is most likely not caused by WP Mail SMTP.
In that case, I suggest you troubleshoot the component on your site that’s managing the users and initiating those emails. This should be the source of the issue. If it’s a third party plugin, please reach out to their support team, as they’ll be able to investigate this for you.
