Installing WP into a subfolder

    hello everyone,

    I’m having a problem uploading my WordPress files onto my server. the server provides me with only one folder (html-files) and that’s the folder I must use in order to upload my files. the problem is that adding my files into that folder changes the name of my website to …/wordpress-2.9.1/wordpress.

    how do I sort it out?

    upload just the files inside the wordpress folder you unzipped
    not the entire folder

    that’s what I did. didn’t work either. maybe wordpress doesn’t recognice this ‘random’ (folder: html-files) directory?
