Integrating Cloudinary with Featured Image selection

Currently when I click on insert a Featured Image in a page or post, the two choices I have are to upload an image from my computer or select an existing image from the standard WordPress Media Library.

How can I add an option for selecting an image from Cloudinary, or at least pasting a url from Cloudinary? This is necessary, as my theme has a custom post type that uses only a featured image, there is no standard editor.
