Integration suggestion

    I have a question and possibly a suggestion, at least as far as LiveFyre integration is concerned. The actual LiveFyre plugin writes comments back to the WP Comments database. This way, they can be backed up and restored in the event of emergency.

    Is there any chance to either incorporate this feature, or allow the LiveFyre plugin and your plugin to work side by side without duplicating the LiveFyre comment box?

    I actually would like this option enabled with Disqus too… but Brandon already said that this is probably not in the works:

    i can reconsider adding it in as a optional feature that is off by default and would carry a heafty warning about enabling it …

    but truthfully since it serves no SEO benefit any longer to do it and thats the only other use case for doing this besides backup/import of them , that IMHO is handled much better with the various dedicated plugins for doing just that … also since all the providers may or may not support things like exporting comments or importing them in bulk etc etc … just not only does not exist for a very large chunk of them importing and exporting if supported at all in their api, inconsistant when it is done etc … thus i think it much better to use that plugin to “cleanup before a big migrate” 😛

    I will re-examine the situation again and start to form a followup email soon in a day or two, possibly sooner if this works out 🙂
