Integration with FacetWP

    Hello,

    on our website we use FacetWP and Fibosearch. Theme is custom full site editing theme (gutenberg blocks).
    Fibosearch is in the header. After search is done we are redirected to product search page. In this page I added “Seach facet”. But this search facet is not showing the same keyword as the Fibosearch. https://prnt.sc/mQV9xc59nXv1

    Is it possible to synchronize these two?

    Hi @marcizus,

    The keyword phrase is passed through the URL as the s parameter, for example ?s=5w-30. Since the keyword is so easily accessible, and FacetWP’s Search facet does not take it into account, this looks like intentional behavior on FacetWP’s side.

    This “Search facet” works a bit differently. It’s meant to narrow down results within the current context, not start a new search.

    So if you’re already on a search results page for the keyword “5w-30”, you should only see products that match that keyword. Typing another term into the Search facet then further refines those results.

    Because of that, entering a keyword into the Search facet while already being on a keyword-based search results page doesn’t really make much sense conceptually.

    I recommend contacting FacetWP support for more details.
