Integration with Newspaper Theme

    Because Newspaper Theme uses the TagDiv Composer/Cloud Templates to build headers, I have not been able to successfully place Max Mega Menu. The shortcode and PHP options are not working. TagDiv’s block editor allows you to place a “header main menu” element on the page, but this does not seem to register the mega menu settings (only TagDiv’s own built in Mega Menu).

    I believe this theme and plugin are compatible since I see Newspaper in your integration guide, but I’m not sure what we’re doing wrong!

    Please remove the auth details from the staging site so I can take a look to see how it’s working at the moment.

    I have just read the header builder docs (https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/) – my guess is you need to add a custom html/text block to the header and paste in the menu shortcode (found here: https://www.megamenu.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/location_shortcode_mmm.png )

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for the speedy reply! That is how I tried to add the shortcode, but no luck. I have removed pw protection from the staging site if you don’t mind taking a look.

    You’ll see the shortcode didn’t render a menu. Below that is the TagDiv “header main menu” element. I’ve tried removing one or the other in case they were clashing but the shortcode still won’t show.

    Hi Kelsey,

    I see, so it’s not processing shortcodes at all in that block. Is there a dedicated shortcode block you can use instead? Or a text one maybe? You may need to ask TagDiv support directly – the issue appears tp be that the header builder doesn’t support shortcodes, rather than there being a direct incompatibility with MMM specifically.
