Intelligent SKU's

We need our skus generated by the guidelines below:

The size of the rubber track and tread pattern would be represented by this 4 digit code. Which I can add into a sku generator plug-in via word press. This number would also serve as a 4 digit part number.

As you know there are lots of makes/models that have the same tread pattern and size so they can all be represented by the same part number and then the makes/models can then be differentiated by the SKU.

Attached are 4 example links of Bobcat t190 13″ rubber tracks and 2 more in the 16″ size, from a vendor we use. If you click on the link and scroll to the description you can see how the sku is set up and how the 4 digit code is also used as a part #. This is EXACTLY what I want to do, however, I don’t want to use their numbers as they will then become the industry standard. And, we want to be the industry standard…LOL If you have a better idea, I’m all ears!

Is this something your generator can do? or is there a way to get a plugin that can do this?
