Interaction between text and slide

Hi everyone,

I am working on a website at the moment, but have run into a snag. I have this plugin installed, and am using it in 2 places. However, I want to make the text to the right of it correspond with the slide that is being shown. In other words, when the first slide is being shown, turn the first box on the right a darker blue, then when the second slide is shown, turn it back to a light blue, and the second box a darker blue. I also want users to be able to mouse over them to automatically swap the slides. Does anyone have any advice for me? I’m a bit lost on this.
