Interaction with Yoast SEO

Hi Lester, I’ve been having a problem with wp-sweep failing to complete a sweep to remove unused terms. I read through the support posts and assumed that the solution was that I needed to increase the timeout and memory allowance for php. This made no difference.

I then figured out that what was happening was that the Yoast SEO plugin was interacting and blocking the sql drop instruction. WP-sweep was running fine, but the processing was invisably stopped by Yoast SEO – Yoast SEO was not able to pop its dialogue dialogue window.

I have contacted Yoast support re the issue.

If anyone else is affected – they probably wrongly think it’s an issue with wp-sweep not running – the workaround is simply to deactivate Yoast SEO, run wp-sweep then reactiveate Yoast SEO.

I’ve posted this as a ticket but you probably need to mark it as resolved as there is a viable workaround.
