Hi Domingo,
By their nature, backups can take up a lot of resources, as they have to read and copy every file in your wp-content folder.
Could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer.
I have created a Dropbox folder:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6w7yyghu5ifhtfl/AAAe9iC4hAL9taTXhsSkE8T4a?dl=0
There you can find last log, a couple graphics, with the cpu time and executions yesterday, and an snapshot of the backup folder contents yesterday.
You can see in the graphics, there is a very small peak at 6 am, and a much larger peak at 18:00. Those times corresponds with both backups.
Regards,
Domingo

By the way, I forgot to say that I have found the message “If you can read this after the page finishes loading, then there is a JavaScript or jQuery problem in your web browser.”. I have isolated the error to the “Forget About Shortcode Buttons” plugin, but I guess this has nothing to do with the performance problem.

Domingo
Hi Domingo,
From the log, it appears that the backups are running as expected.
To try and reduce the amount of resources needed, please could you try reducing the ‘Split archives every’ setting (in the ‘expert settings’) to 100MB?
This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.
The JavaScript issue is a known issue with the Forget About Shortcode Buttons plugin, and has been reported to the developer. Hopefully, they will be able to provide a fix soon.
