    Hello,

we recently switched to Lightbox with Photoswipe from the old Boxers and Swipers plugin.

Somehow I can’t get Photoswipe to work with internal links. This is unfortunate, because our multisite installation (“invisible” parent site, plus 2 child installations for English and local language) currently sits in a subdomain and will be moved to the main domain once it’s finished.

With the old plugin, internal links (/wp-content/ourfiles/sites/2/image.jpg) worked fine, but Lightbox with Photoswipe seems to need the whole thing (http://sub.domain.com/en/wp-content/ourfiles/sites/2/image.jpg).

Is there a way to shorten those links or some other workaround? I don’t want to edit hundreds of image links once the page goes live.

    Thanks.

Indeed having relative links without domain part is not supported yet since WordPress itself does not create this kind of link and I never had this case yet.

But I will add additional handling for this case in the next update, no problem.

I just published an update to release 1.98 which should now also work with “internal” links which don’t have a domain part. Please let me know, if this works for you.

That’s awesome! I just updated to the newest version and it works like a charm.

See, I had no idea. I’ve been using internal links with Photoswipe in Joomla for a couple of years, so it didn’t even occur to me that this might be a special feature.
And I’ve hardly used the visual editor in WordPress, because it just drives me nuts.

Thanks, you just saved me a lot of work! 🙂

    Happy Easter!
