• Hi all,

I’ve bought Avada and installed a demo on it by importing it through All-in-one WP Migration. So far so good.

All was working fine till the moment I tried to save the Permalinks. Right after I did this, the site gave a Internal Server Error (500). After some Googling I found out this could easily be solved by deleting the web.config file (Windows server).

But now, everytime I visit the “Permalinks” page, relentless of if I’m saving or not, it’s giving an internal server error when trying to navigate to somewhere else from the “Permalinks” page. Again, this is fixed after deleting the web.config file.

Even though there is a workaround as described above, I would like this to be fixed. Does anyone have an idea on what I can do to fix this?

    Best regards,

    Metehan

  • You can get 500 errors if you have a mistake in your .htaccess. Switch to default permalinks (if you can) and either delete or rename your .htaccess to something else. Then check out:

Well it’s on a Windows server so I don’t have a .htaccess but a web.config… And everytime I delete that file all works fine until I visit the permalinks page again. Then I get the 500 error again.
