I have been struggling with this for weeks, and would greatly appreciate any help. When I do a google search on my website, http://www.bozwellz.com, I get an internal server error. It took weeks but I finally got ahold of someone from google, and they said it wasn’t them, I needed to call godaddy. So I called godaddy, and they said I have a virus on my site, but for $300 they would clean it, and so on and so forth. I downloaded Wordfence and ran it, it cleaned up some items and says everything is now clear, but I’m still getting an internal server error.

We are a small restaurant, in a small town, badly hit by the pandemic and have been closed (curbside, delivery only) for months. Not being able to be found on google is going to be a killing blow. Is there anyone that can help? Do I need to tweak settings on Wordfence? Is there another type of software I need to install, or do I really have to shell out $300 to godaddy?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    thank you

    carrie

Hi @intcon, I’ve managed to reproduce this error, and I do suspect given the type of error 500 page received that this is a hosting issue based on the referral coming from Google (or any 3rd party?). If Wordfence was causing the block, you would expect a Wordfence-formatted error page rather than the generic server one, but I will need to look into it further.

I think it would help me rule this in/out if you could send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

Note: For the fastest response time, please make sure and add any information or questions directly to this topic and not the email address above unless asked.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

Hi @intcon, I didn’t receive any diagnostics from you so hopefully you were able to solve the problem as we’ve not heard back.

If you have any other Wordfence questions, please start a new topic and we’ll be glad to help you out any time.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
