    Hey there,

I hope you can help me out with this issue. I installed and activated BPS, but when using the setup wizard, my website does not display any more and shows an 500 Internal Server Error.

I believe it has to do with the .htaccess. As it shows up again, when I delete the .htaccess, I think thats the correct place to look for.

Actually I always get this issue, when trying to Active the “Root Folder BulletProof Mode (RBM)”.

Ok that means that your particular web host is not allowing some particular htaccess code in the BPS root htaccess file. Go to this BPS troubleshooting page: http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/read-me-first-free/#bps-free-general-troubleshooting, scroll down to: “500 Internal Server Error After Activating BulletProof Mode for your Root Folder” and see if that solution fixes the problem.

Also check this problem cause|solution: “500 Internal Server Error After Adding New custom .htaccess Code To BPS Custom Code” is the reason for the 500 error. A third possibility would be that your current root htaccess file contains php/php.ini handler code in it. Are you using php/php.ini handler code? If so, then you would add your php/php.ini handler code to BPS Custom Code in this text box: CUSTOM CODE TOP PHP/PHP.INI HANDLER/CACHE CODE
