by the way,what does it show as the memory limit when you click on the advanced settings link?
It takes about 10 sec and then I see the message, In the advance settings I see this:

in the same page,there are two text boxes to enter maximum execution time and maximum memory,enter 30 in the max execution time box and enter 256 in the max memory box and hit backup,let me know the outcome.

I have the sane issue I think. I host on dream host and changed the timout to 30 and the membory to 256. I get either page not found when I dont have those or a blank page when I do use those. HELP

Here is the error I’m getting when trying to clone a site to a new install of WordPress on Godaddy shared hosting.
The plugin encountered an error while downloading the zip file,the following error message was returned:
Error Message : Internal Server Error

@carbbon give this a try,manually upload the zip file into ‘/home/content/-/-/html/wp-content/uploads/wp-clone/’ and then link it from there.

We have the SAME problem … New GoDaddy WordPress 3.5.1 sites – both source and destination. Backup works but an almost instant “Internal Server Error” and crash. Tried advanced settings as above and SAME error.
Did NOT try manual upload as the destination is in a “dev” subdomain.

Me too – GoDaddy and WordPress 3.5.1 can’t backup getting “The connection was rest…” error and on Chrome I get a Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.
For Both browsers it runs for about 10 seconds then give the error message.
