Try another gateway if the error logs are empty.

Error 500 is not helpful. There will be something in your logs – please check again. and/or enable debug https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/how-to-debug-issues-after-updates?replies=1

I have turned on the debug mode now the it just shows one error about usage of mysql_connect now i am unable to click on place order because the loader is shwoing up on place order button.

Nothing should be using mysql_connect directly… that doesn’t sound good.

Have you ruled out plugin conflicts yet? I’d turn them off (apart of WC) and test again.

I have already deactiavated all plugins one by one and checked the checkout page but the same error. Is there any thing i need to check?

Theme as well. And find out why your logs are empty – maybe you’re looking at the wrong file?

I am looking the error log in the root and also looking at the error log in cpanel. Can i narrow it down if it is a theme issue?

Switch to twenty twelve temporarily to narrow it down to that.

Thanks for your help that is resolved its clearly a theme issue i need to figure it out.

See whats in theme functions.php – thats likely where your issue is.

Check the php carefully for missing semi-colons, extra (or missing) ‘{‘ or ‘}’ or comments not terminated correctly – ‘*’ instead of ‘*/’.

Our server throws an internal server error (500) if it encounters any one of these – a real pain!
